A return scenic cruise from Queenstown Bay, across stunning Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm on our vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, a farm demonstration and a delicious BBQ Lunch served on the sunny terrace at the Colonel’s Homestead.

The rural demonstrator will give guests an insight into life in the New Zealand high country by providing an entertaining farm show including working sheep dogs.

Enjoy a unique dining experience at Walter Peak where the menu showcases food and wine from the wider Central Otago region. Chefs prepare a tasty selection of meats on the outdoor grill, while fresh, seasonal salads and vegetables are available from the dining area of the Colonel’s Homestead. Top off lunch with a selection of delicious sweet treats and local cheeses.

Please be sure to arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check in.

    Wonderful day on the lake followed by great lunch and entertaining farm/ sheep show. If want top level seats make sure get there early to check in and get in line. Note the top level can get a bit hot with the smoke stack, downstairs is definitely cooler. Tables could benefit a clean with some soapy water rather than disinfectant spray as gets tacky to the touch. Other than that great experience.

    It was the perfect way to view the lake on the cruise to Walter Peak. Able to check out the workings of the boat as well. Great views from the boat, lunch was excellent and the farm show was very good. Pleasantly surprised as it was a buffet lunch, could not fault the food.

    Was a nice day but they pack too many people on the boat making it stressful to find a suitable seat. Lunch was nice and the farm experience was the best part.

    We did this as a family of 5 (all adults) and it was a spectacular trip with the buffet being the highlight without a doubt. Staff friendly, food heavenly and the scenery stunning!! Definitely recommend to everyone - this is a must do if you are in Queenstown!
