Skip-the-line tickets to Schonbrunn Palace include timed entry so you don't have to wait in line for your tickets. Headsets will be provided for groups of 10+ people inside the palace.
Admission to Schonbrunn Gardens is for free parts only. The gardens are not green or lit up in winter, so it’s best to book a morning tour or visit in spring, summer & autumn. In case of extreme weather conditions (such as snow), the gardens will be excluded from the itinerary for the safety of the guests. From 08.11 to 06.01, you will have a chance to visit a local Christmas Market instead.

What To Expect
Meet your guide on the left side of Gerstner K. u. K. Hofzuckerbäcker, Kavaliertrakt 52, 1130 Vienna (48.18572721289812, 16.31386222974554) - not Schlosscafé Schönbrunn by the main gate, you have to get to the fountains in the courtyard and turn left, wait at the pillars on the left and the cafe door on the right

5.00This is a gorgeous place to visit! I guess you could do this with an audio guide, but Romana provided so much historical content doing this tour was so worth it. Excellent pre-visit communication; I receive several emails in a text message to prep us regarding the meeting place.

5.00We had Anna as our guide for the palace tour, and she was fantastic—very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She led our group smoothly through the rooms and shared a lot of interesting historical context along the way. The palace tour itself takes about 2.5 hours. If you’re planning a visit, make sure to leave extra time for the gardens—they’re massive! You can book a mini train at the palace to explore them more easily. Admission to the gardens is free, and you can visit them at any time throughout the day. On the day we visited, it was very hot (around 30°C in the shade), so we decided to skip the gardens and went to the Carriage Museum instead. We highly recommend it! It’s air-conditioned, self-guided, and comes with an excellent audio system. Overall, we would definitely recommend this palace tour!

5.00Alexander was incredible. His knowledge of history and explanations with empathy were touching. He is very organized and timely. The group was around 25 people and that was the maximum. He made suggestions for lunch which we enjoyed. You could spend a day at the palace and gardens easily. Highly recommend!
