Westminster Abbey
The church as we know it today was founded by Henry III in the 13th century, who ordered the demolition of Edward the Confessor’s royal palace and a monastery situated on the site. In its place, a new Gothic cathedral was built that was consecrated in 1269: From now on, by decree of the King of England, Westminster Abbey was to be a place for the coronation and burial of monarchs. - Royal Tombs, Today, over 3,000 people are buried or memorialised at Westminster Abbey, including 30 monarchs and notable historical figures such as Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking and Geoffrey Chaucer. - The Coronation Chair in St George’s Chapel is perhaps the most famous piece of furniture in the world. - Poet’s Corner - Explore the Lady Chapel & Chapter House - Royal Tombs - Unknown Warrior - Pyx Chamber - The Quire - Cloisters

4.00I really didn’t know what to expect when visiting Westminster Abbey except that the royal family get married here. It was so much more. So much history of the royalty before our time with burials and tombs. The audio tour took a little bit to get figured out but once we got going it was fine.
Worth the price of entry.

1.00No need to do this. Just went through the regular line with tickets. No guide met us. Totally confused as to why I needed to buy these in advance. No information given

4.00I would have given this 5 stars because the Abbey was incredible, but the directions on where to enter were not clear. I literally walked around the entire abbey (which is a long walk!) and had to ask two different attendants where to go before I found the entrance. It was VERY stressful and I almost missed my entry time. Other than that, I enjoyed it and appreciated being able to go at my own pace with the audio guide.

5.00Beautiful abbey that is worth the visit this grandiose. The viator ticket can be exchanged at the entrance counter for a physical ticket. We took 2 hours to visit well and enjoy the abbey there are many people but it is accessible and really not to be missed.
Worth it but don't if you're short on time

3.00First of all I want to say that this is a very impressive church / abbey. The central part, known from weddings and funerals, is busy. But definitely worth it. A lot quieter are the somewhat more distant parts. Why three stars: because it is not a cheap affair where we had booked for a time slot and had to wait outside for at least another 40 minutes in a queue. I expect that if I have to book for a certain time slot, I can also enter within a reasonable time.

5.00Westminster Abbey is a must see! The abbey was packed with people, but everyone seemed to have spatial awareness and not bumping into each other or pushing to move along. The audio guide was invaluable and informative. I highly recommend this tour.
