Wonderful access to the exhibits. Multiple ways to view the zoo. Multiple places to access hot drinks with plenty of toilet facilities. Great for all ages

This was a really nice half day spent, London zoo has so many stunning animals to see, we all thoroughly enjoyed the location and everything it had to offer. This zoo is well worth the visit

There's lots of walking however there's also lots to see. All the animals have plenty of space. There are an abundance of eateries too. Well worth the trip. It's best to aim for opening time or within an hour to make the most of the day.

A great day at the zoo... We spent six hours walking and briefly driving around and saw so much but ran out of time so didn't get to see the bears, penguins, wolves...and more. Some of the animals we did see close up were lionesses with their tiny lion cubs clambering over them, a baby rhino practicing his technique of challenging a fully-grown male rhino, young giraffes that we could almost touch as we stood on the raised walkway, a pack of beautiful African hunting dogs (a clever mosaic highlighted their area). We saw baby meerkats laying on their backs looking as if they wanted their tummies tickled, an enormous male tiger that appeared to challenge us to see who would blink first, a very large and grumpy looking bison, a parrot that flew directly between us - its wings gently brushing our shoulders as it went...and then there were the informative talks... We planned our day around the timing of a few of the many talks:- Penguins - 11.00 Lemurs - 12.00 Chimps - 12.30 Birds of the World (very popular with children) - 1.30 and 3.30 Butterfly House - 2.00 Hippos - 3.00 Tigers - 4.00 A fabulous day out that we would highly recommend.

Out of season, bit disappointing a lot of the Zoo amenities were not running. We ended up doing a long walk from one restaurant where we were told the viewpoint restaurant will have more food options, to get there and find it was closed. Train wasn’t running. Much of the Zoo now looking quite tired and a lot of the facilities need to be spruced up.

The location and scenery is superlative! The staff there especially team in direct contact with animals is a class apart. We witnessed the feeding of giraffes and Hippos including the peaking of Hippos' droppings and the teams on duty were excellent. The kids were excited and memories created were definitely encrypted in their minds. It was one of those activities we normally do to celebrate our Birthdays and we were celebrating our first born's this time round. Getting back to nature and appreciating every bit of it meant alot to him and his siblings. We enjoyed every bit of it especially the Cat family, Giraffe, Hippos especially the short one from West Africa which is completely different from the type we have in East Africa. The down part of it was that we didn't see elephants and the restaurants closed early. We hope to come again and again

The administration of the London zoo is appalling. They say they are under pressure due to Covid-19 but their FAQs are totally inadequate. Trying to telephone for information is virtually impracticable. I am a Gold member but was told the call would be answered "within an hour". I was seeking basic information on the indoor play area at Whipsnade for my grandchildren. Having learned that this could only be booked 24 hours in advance - but no indication of when booking for the following day opened - I started trying to book online from about 8.30am. The first anomaly was that the screen invited me to choose a date; why when you can only book for the next day? Not surprisingly, there was no calendar provided. And to make matters worse, the screen said it was fully booked for the day. So had booking not yet opened for the following day? Had the zoo accepted a block booking that meant attempts to book were futile?| I have encouraged my family to join and paid the very high cost of several memberships. The 2 zoos (Whipsnade and London) are not in my opinion as good as Chester or my childhood memory of Edinburgh. However, they are our local zoos and for the capital city should be providing at the very least better administration than they do.

Animals are difficult to see, the aquarium is a joke, the hippos swim in a small pool full of their own excrement. It's grossly overpriced to get in, it was muddy on the day we visited, the children were so disappointed, as was I. I'll never take the family there again.

Had a lovely day out at whipsnade zoo. Would definitely recommend parking outside of the zoo and walking around. Entry fee was really reasonably priced. Would recommend pre purchasing online beforehand. Loved seeing all the animals with my highlights being the elephants, rhinos and penguins. All exhibits look really fab for the animals but as a visitor does mean that you can’t always see all the animals if they are hiding. Lots of places to eat too with a great selection of reasonably priced food. Shame about the power it which meant I was unable to get my souvenirs in the gift shop as I only had card. Would definitely recommend!

I understand the poor reviews, essentially these people are used to as are we small zoo’s without walking. Apologies french etc but we have been many times to your zoos and I can firmly assure you this one is more vast but better in contrast. So, the zoo, more like fields of animals that have plentiful when it comes to habitat therefore yes, sparse , so you have to walk.....sorry humans but yes ....walk. Ok , so the zoo is that sparse with plenty to see but you need all day, doesn’t this make it good value too...sorry sinacle side of me. The whole place was amazing from Start to finish, the food , sandwich yes was a bit toppy but yet again guys, pay less get sh..t......so why again compliance, the food here is very good from a local tv chef , well done on creating a decent menu with again nice food, we ourselves are happy to pay higher prices for higher quality rather than cheap and crap sorry others. Anyway we will be back , wonderful place , but more expensive on food for better quality, want cheap and no walking go somewhere else...sorry !
