Stonehenge
Mysterious Stonehenge The true meaning of this ancient, awe-inspiring creation has been lost in the mists of time. Was Stonehenge a temple for sun worship, a healing centre, a burial site or perhaps a huge calendar? How did our ancestors manage to carry the mighty stones from so far away and then, using only the most primitive of tools, build this amazing structure? Our driver was great. He was very kind, patient and drove safe. I wish we had better guidance on hours the areas we drove to were going to close. We were only able to enter Windsor so the drive to the Abbey was a waste. We dis get to see the Stonehenge from a distance but that was mainly due to rainy weather. It was a lot to pay for basically one site. Nevertheless we enjoyed Windsor.
