Don't miss the chance to go for a hot-air balloon flight over Far North Queensland's Atherton Tablelands. It's one of the "must do" activities when visiting the tropics. You have the choice of pick-up from Cairns, the Northern beaches or Palm Cove hotels.

Hot Air Balloon Cairns
You will be met by our professional driver at your pick up location to be transfered to your Hot Air Balloon ride. As the day begins, you will experience a wonderful hot air balloon flight above the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. After your flight and landing, enjoy games and lots of laughs as your pilot, crew and driver lead the fun of packing up your hot air balloon. Your hot air balloon experience finish time varies with the seasons (summer, winter and the time of sunrise). Your driver can drop you back to your Cairns accommodation or, with prior notice, we can drop you off to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, Skyrail, Tjapukai or perhaps a Cairns cafe or restaurant if you would like to have breakfast at your own arrangements.
Atherton Tablelands
The Atherton Tablelands is the area over which we fly our hot air balloons. You will experience this area at dawn - the best time of the day to spot wallabies, kangaroos, many different species of birds, and other wildlife. In addition, you may fly over many different crops as The Tablelands are known for their fruit and vegetable produce. Keep an eye out for crops of mangoes, bananas, lychees, avocados, pineapples, limes and more.

5.00She is a father + a daughter in her first year of high school and participates. I applied for an optional tour after arriving in Cairns. From the Queen's Landa Hotel, it was a balloon tour that left the hotel at 3.40am. On the way to Kuranda, the driver was kind and gentle, changing seats even when a small child got carsick, and taking a break. I think it would be good to have a Green Island or Outlander's intoxicant. The balloon staff is also a lively and kind member, and it is just fun. The 45-minute flight is such a great way to see 360° panoramas and sunrises and kangaroos and wallabies that you don't have the option of coming to Cairns and not riding this hot air balloon. I was very satisfied with the experience, which was more than price. It's fun to fold the balloon together. I arrived at Cairns Airport at 9.30am, well in time for Jetstar flight JQ025 on the day.

5.00Blown away by the hot air balloon experience. Brownie, Suzy, Kristin and especially Bob the skipper were amazing. Balloon riding was on my bucket list forever so this was a wonderful way to tick it off. Flying high above mareeba and the staff really made every bit of the flight enjoyable, dad jokes interspersed with very interesting bits of information. The fun didn't end when we landed, we were treated to a champagne breakfast, and pictures were taken throughout the day by the staff, so every bit of our experience was recorded. Highly recommend, don't miss out!

5.00My first hot air balloon experience and it was great! Brownie points for Brownie for being super chill & Jade is a cool dude!!! Everyone else on the team too is amazing!! The cost is worth it - AUD 124 per person - for a 1 hour ride overlooking the flora & fauna, with 20 people in each basket! Chilly in the mornings with the fire from the balloon warming you up from time to time. Best if you love sunrise with a view!

5.00First time in a balloon and it was amazing!! Our bus driver and guide Mike was knowledgeable and entertaining. Our pilot Neil was so experienced and ensured everyone had good views, including some of the wallabys down below. Assistant Brian was friendly and helpful as well. Definitely recommend this company especially if a hot air balloon ride is on your bucket list!

3.00We bought the premium package balloon experience. This was our first balloon flight and we were picked up at our hotel in a private car and also dropped back later. We joined a larger group who arrived in three small buses. The team assembling and inflating the balloons were excellent and very safety conscious. We enjoyed the balloon flight although the scenery below was mainly farmland and small buildings and we would perhaps have preferred a different landscape. The balloon fight was about 40 minutes. After the flight the premium package included a luxury breakfast in Palm Cove. We agreed with the driver to come back one hour later which we thought was enough for the breakfast. We had two coffees and yoghurts but unfortunately by the time the hour was up the breakfast hadn’t arrived, so we left and joined up with the driver to return to our hotel. In hindsight we felt the premium package wasn’t worth the extra cost but the balloon flight was good.
