Enjoy the genuine Austrian countryside experience in our small group wine tours near Vienna, in Weinviertel Wine Region. During the 4 hour (Morning Tour with Lunch) or 5 hour tour (Afternoon tour with Dinner) we give you an insider’s look at country living and wine making. Come with us, visit the wine cellars, meet with the local farmers and winemakers and enjoy the ambiance of nature over a glass of quality wine. You will taste 8-12 glasses of wine during the tour and your experience is completed with a traditional Austrian Lunch or Dinner.

The tour starts with pick-up from your Vienna hotel.
Our driver-guide will take you to Weinviertel Wine Region, which is the largest wine growing area of Austria, located about 30min from Vienna. Most famous grape varieties are the Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling & Zweigelt, which you will taste during the tour. During the short ride through the scenic hills of the region you will learn about the region and the people here. At the wineries you will meet with the local winemakers who will present their wines, their cellars and their story to you. In the small groups we have a friendly mood and very cosy atmosphere. During the tour you will taste 10-12 glasses of quality wine at three different winery, and your journey is completed with a traditional Austrian dinner at the third location.

5.00We had such a good time! All the wines were excellent, and hearing the winemakers talk about their processes was very interesting. We had Rudi as our tour guide and he had so much great information about Vienna and it's history, in addition to his knowledge of wine. If you are vegetarian, the vegetarian lunch is incredible!

5.00The convenience and generiosity of this tour shocked me. First off, Norbert, our guide, was great. He fought traffic to pick us up at an agreed meeting spot and then fought traffic some more as we went to our first stop. We passed the time with a bit of a wine lesson and periods of silence, which allowed for some learning but also time to chat with your party and others. We ultimately hit three different wineries at 4 tastings each (some with pretty generous pours!) meaning we got 12 glasses. There were snacks throughout and at the end a couple of dishes of traditional Austrian cuisine - generous portions. Delicious and we couldn't finish everything. Despite us getting back almost an hour after expected, Norbert did not rush us and was a great host, safe guide, and, when we needed it, a translator. Definitely recommend it as a way to learn a bit about wine while in Vienna.

5.00This was a great experience! The tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable about the wines and the wineries and winemakers we visited. The winemakers were engaging and gave us great information. The included dinner was traditional Austrian food - schnitzel, potato salad, saurkraut, and buchetln. I highly recommend this tour!

5.00Fun and enjoyable tour of Vienna's wine country. We recently visited when it gets dark very early in the day, know you won't be able to see the countryside. The wineries we were taken to were exceptional and the dinner at the last stop was fantastic! Our first stop was the Schwarzböck Winery and they had some really good crisp white wines. There was a lot of detail giving on their process. After, we stopped at Holzer Winery, the wine was delicious and despite the fog we had a really cool view of the Kreuzenstein Castle. Our last stop was Holledauer and we had dinner there and the best schnitzel I had on the trip and a fantastic desert. Our guide was very friendly and informative. We would absolutely take this tour again.

4.00Martin picked us up on time. There were four of us in total. It was nice to get out of the city. My partner is the wine connoisseur as he was an Oenologist in a former career. Personally I prefer red wines to whites but I know the region is known for whites. Almost all were tasty. The food at the last stop was excellent-schnitzel, the desserts. At no point were we pressured to buy wine during the tour. Martin answered all the questions asked of him. It was a fun, I’m glad we went and I would recommend to others.
