Public executions, legendary deaths, corrupted popes.. and a mysterious fraternity taking care of the dead bodies found in the streets. Not just a bunch of silly ghost stories, but real history!
All this while walking through the backstreets and little alleys of the historical center of Rome, after the busy tourist hours.
We'll find ourselves in front of a church with skulls on its facade. We'll knock at the door and the door will open. The nun of the fraternity will let us underground the church, in the crypt.
Chandeliers made of real bones, the skulls of the brothers and sisters, with their names carved on their foreheads. After this tour you'll see things from a different perspective.

5.00I joined the Dark Side of Rome Tour with Underground Bones Crypt with Live Virtual Guide, and our guide, Federica, instantly felt familiar—probably because I’d been seeing her fascinating short videos on social media in the weeks leading up to the trip. Experiencing her storytelling in person felt almost exclusive, especially since it ended up being just me and my family on the tour. What made the experience stand out was how interactive and engaging Federica was. She encouraged us to ask anything at any point, and she has this great way of building suspense—sometimes answering your questions only when the story naturally reaches that moment later in the tour. It kept us hooked the whole time. I also appreciated how thoughtful she was with pacing. She let us sit and relax whenever there was a good spot for it, and at roadside stops she always made sure we were safely out of traffic before diving back into the history. Overall, it was fun, fascinating, and surprisingly immersive. If you’re considering any of Federica’s tours, I highly recommend them—she knows how to bring Rome’s darker stories to life in the best possible way.

5.00If you enjoy stories and the paranormal than the Dark Side of Rome tour for you. My tour guide was awesome. Federica is an exceptional story teller and transported us through her story telling the the life of times of popes and normal people. The size of the tour group was small and it made the interaction with Federica and her story telling even more surreal. The tour was so intriguing that the two hours flew by. the pace of the walking was perfect and i did not feel rushed, With this being at night it added an extra bit of mystery to the tour. I am so glad I found LVG and plan to make more tours with them the next time I am in Rome.

5.00It was so nice to finally meet Frederica after viewing many of her tours during Covid. She is knowledgeable, energetic and a great storyteller. She was very accommodating when we were running late and made sure that we were able to join the tour. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00It was a great tour. Besides some ghost stories and the dark side the underground bones crypt was fascinating. All of those skulls was beyond my imagination of what a church should look like. It was very humbling.

5.00Federica was a wonderful guide. She kept the stories and sights very interesting (I don't want to give away they mysteries). A dark past in amazing places. It was a great way to end the evening, a slow walking pace so the haunted conversations could be had. Very small group, after the very crowds, this was perfect 2 hours. We enjoyed it very much.

5.00Exciting, funny and creepy... Since then, I have always looked around Roma in the evening to see if there isn't a ghost doing his mischief somewhere. Leadership was very entertaining. Great and very friendly management... Thanks for the great time!
