The tour was brief, with travel to Ha Long in the morning and travel out of Ha Long in the evening. One day in Ha Long was just the right amount of time, and it was convenient to depart from one city and to arrive in another. The cave was nice, but the beach was small and the water was dirty. It seems that many boats go to the same beach and it is full of oil, trash, etc. The views of the bay are quite pretty. Kayaking was fun, with a chance to see a few monkeys. The boat and busses were decent, but nothing special. The tour guide was acceptable, but the people who set up the trip were amazing. They accommodated several changes at the last minute and they were wonderful about it. I recommend the trip because it is budget friendly and not too much time doing the same things in the bay.
