Bamboo Forest Street

The Kyoto Bamboo forest, also known as the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. The Arashiyama district has been a popular destination since the Heian Period (794-1185), when nobles would enjoy the natural beauty of the area.6 It is the one of Japan's most iconic natural sights. Located in the Arashiyama district on the outskirts of Kyoto. This is stunning forest is renowned for its towering Bamboo stalks that sway gently in the wind, creating a serene and ethereal atmosphere.

Kinkakuji Temple

Kinkaku-ji also known as the Golden pavilion, is a renowned Zen Buddhist temple.Officially named Rokuon-ji, the temple is famous for its stunning top two floors that are completely covered in gold leaf. The temple has been built in 1397 as a retirement villa for shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, It was converted intoa Zen Temple after his death. The Temple has been burned down several times through history. The current structure dates back to 1955, following a reconstruction after the temple was set on fire by a monk in 1950.

This was a great tour. We've been to kyoto twice before and learned so much history and saw many temples and places we hadn't been to before! Sag was a great tour guide and so knowledgeable about Japan and kyoto in general. Would highly recommend this tour!

The driver, Imran khan, did a great job taking my family around. He was on time at each stop for pick up and the car was clean I would recommend using his services for sure!
