• Amazing Mountain hike and great wine tasting

  I enjoyed the hiking to the top of mountain to see a live smoke of the volcano. Two hours of time is plenty for a round trip. The wine tasting was very pleasant to know southern Italian wines. Our tour guide Nunoa was lovely and helpful. She cared about us and made sure everyone was doing fine. I appreciated her kindness and effort. I gave the trip a 5-star and thought it was worthy the time and money. Also I would like a suggestion for the tour agency. We were told to meet at 1:30pm a few days earlier. One day prior to the trip, we were told the departure time was changed to 11 am. Nothing wrong with the time change. However if the agency could provide some explanation, that would avoid any confusion. Later we found out the tour actually put 3 different groups into one bus. Thanks to the effort by Nunoa, the whole thing went smoothly. We just needed a transparency of the change. Hope this helps.

  I can't fully give it a rating only on the food and wine tasting which was really good. However due to it being rainy we had to eat in a sheltered area and not in the vineyard. So that experience was lost . Also when we got up to the the V. National Park they had it closed because of weather conditions. So I never got to experience the two hours hiking up to seeing the crater. Which was the main reason for booking this tour. So it's not any fault of their own but definitely not worth $88 just to eat food and Sample wine.

  The information of the guide was relevant, the meal at the vineyard as well as the wine tasting were excellent and the staff very friendly. The climb to Vesuvius despite the narrowness of the road is done without incident.... phew! The guide cared about our ability to reach the top and advised us on the level of difficulty. We had an unforgettable day.

  Things to know about this excursion: You are joining a larger group who did Pompeii in the morning. So you have to wait around for them. You have 4 glasses of wine at the tasting. Four! Then you have an hour drive up twisty mountain roads and have to start your hike still drunk from the wine. There is no actual tour. Its mostly a nice transfer service. There is no signage on Mt vesuvius no information, so take a guide book if you're interested in learning about the volcano. Lunch was lovely, the driver and 'guide' we're lovely. Glad I booked the smaller group.

  This was an awesome tour! The lunch stop before the hike was amazing. Tasted so many different local foods and 4 different wines if you opt in to the wine tasting package. Although this hike didnt go to the top of the crater, the valley of hell is the trail we did. Definitely bring good shoes with traction and pants would be recommended as you rub against plants and rocks on the hike. There were some challenging uphill sections where some people needed to take breaks along the way.   We overall enjoyed this experience. You get dropped off at the entrance of Vesuvius and are given a certain amount of time to get to the top and back. I think this would be difficult to coordinate on your own. Lorenzo was our guide and he gave us background on Capri, Vesuvius and other areas as you get driven around. Francisco was our driver and he made good on time. Few caveats. Although we requested a specific hotel pick up location, that is not guaranteed. We had to meet them at the port of Naples instead by Bar Pic Nic but thankfully that wasn't too far from our original request ~ 10 min walk. Although this was a half day tour, we still drove to Pompeii to join up with the full day group tour. It was nice to see a bit of Pompeii but was a bit of a lull in the beginning. Furthermore, we didn't know the tasting and lunch started before the hike (thought it would be after). Not complaining but expect to go buzzed. And maybe don't eat breakfast beforehand, or if you do, give yourself an ample window before noon!

  This was a great experience, our hosts was fantastic! It went better than could imagined. Pompeii and the top of mt vesuvius is incredible. Worth the price definitely. It was about 6 to 7 hours long. A great way to spend a day in Naples 10/10 recommend booking with this group for your guides.

  It was a fantastic, fun and well organised small group trip! Antonella (the tour guide) and Victorio (driver) were friendly and professional, while providing information about the area while we were travelling around Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius in the mini bus and it all lasted six hours door to door ( with a hotel collection.) The wine tasting and lunch experience was delicious and an extensive three courses. We tried three full glasses of different local wines. We then climbed Mount Vesuvius and there was a perfect amount of time to climb up and back and take lots of pictures. Due to the ash and volcanic nature the paths, it can be slippy and difficult to walk, but generally fine for moderately fit, able bodied walkers. There was a change of time to collect us from the arranged hotel in the morning and the communication from Antonella was superb. I would totally recommend this trip for anyone wanting to climb Mt Vesuvius with an excellent wine tasting lunch thrown in!

  They change tour and start time twice within 24 hours. No chance of refund at that time. I could not get to meeting point due to logistics of getting to location. I was in Sorrento with limited transport routes. This could be construed as fraud on operators part as they had plenty of time to advise of any issues. They indicated fire on mountain. which was a month before tour and they had other tour going to mountain the same day as mine. I would not recommend this company. Also trip advisor was no help .
