5.00Our class was originally scheduled for 8AM but got moved to 10AM — honestly, that worked out perfectly because it gave us more time to enjoy a slow morning. The place can be a bit tricky to find, especially if you’re new to the area, but communication via WhatsApp was super smooth. They gave clear directions, so we didn’t get lost (Google Maps definitely helped too!). It was raining when we went — they said it was the first day of winter in Vietnam — and that actually made the whole experience feel cozier. As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed with a warm glass of tea, a lovely blend of five different ingredients that immediately set the tone for the day. We cooked pho and bun cha, two of our all-time favorite Vietnamese dishes. The bun cha was an absolute flavor bomb — if anything, that was the highlight of the class! Simon, our instructor, was fantastic — his English is excellent, and to our surprise, he also speaks French! He explained everything so clearly and made sure everyone felt comfortable and involved. We learned a looooot during the session — from prepping fresh herbs to balancing flavors just right. We even got to make coconut coffee and egg coffee, which were absolute highlights for us. Everything was prepared with such care that we could really taste the heart behind each dish. Simon is truly a passionate and engaging teacher. We can’t wait to try the recipes again at home and show them off to our friends. If you’re in Hanoi and looking for a fun, authentic, and heartwarming cooking experience, we 100% recommend Rose Kitchen!

We were a group of 5 people and the experience was really nice and funny: our chef Simon is a funny person, available to answer any questions and speaks perfect English (much better than mine 😅) We cooked a delicious Bún chả, and the egg and coconut coffees were also amazing. We leave with our recipes explained step by step and very good memories 😊 For those who would like to do the workshop in addition to other tours of Hanoi, the course lasts 2 hours and the place is quite close to the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, its house and museum: you can make a good combo! Thanks again!

5.00Absolutely AMAZING experience. Simon was our cooking guide and he was awesome. We had such a great time. Simon showed us how to make Bun Cha and Fried Spring Rolls. Everything was delicious. At the end Simon made is an Egg Coffee. Best Egg Coffee ever!! Thank you for such a great time.
