5.0Short review, we had a great time and highly recommend this. Plenty of walking around Hobbiton, so don't think that it's a bus tour through the set. There aren't hobbits walking around and it's not as immersive with characters as we initially thought, but the setting and the new additions of being able to go inside a hobbit hole are stellar. The glow worm cave is a little short, but they take their time taking it through it. The cave, in general, is also awesome. Our guide was really great at both locations and our bus guide was awesome too. There's easily 4 and 1/2 hours of being on a bus riding around from each location, so be prepared for that. There's plenty of stops for snacks and bathroom brakes along the way.

5.0I had a great time we were picked up from Auckland on a small but comfortable bus. Then we drove to get coffee before we arrived at Hobbiton. We had a guided tour and were able to look around the film site. Then we had lunch at a local cafe before heading toward the glowworm cave. I would recommend if you are a solo female traveler as I felt safe the entire time and met other friendly travelers. The bus driver and guide were knowledgeable and extremely nice.

5.0The tour was wonderful, and our guide, Alessandro was very knowledgeable. We loved Hobbiton - my favorite was the interior of a Hobbit hole. I was also amazed by the huge variety of flowers growing everywhere. I guess January is a great time to go. The caves were great, too. I had pictured the whole "worm" glowing, whereas it is just the end of the tail. But it was very good. Do realize that you can't take pictures - the light from the phone can mess up the glow. The tour is definitely a must-do

5.0If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan you will love this experience. Immersing yourself into the shire and hearing about the filming inside secrets was excellent. Not to mention the fact that you get to walk through a Hobbit’s house!
