Join us on an exciting cruise exploring the waters around Juneau, surrounded by magnificent scenery, in search of humpback and orca whales. You'll have the chance to see other marine mammals including Steller sea lions, harbor seals, Dall's porpoises as well as bald eagles, bears, Sitka blacktail deer and a variety of seabirds. Your whale watching adventure begins with a narrated transfer from the pier to Auke Bay. There your captain and onboard naturalist will welcome you aboard the North Star, our state of the art 48-passenger jet boat custom designed for Juneau whale watching, with large windows and an outside viewing deck. Juneau has a healthy humpback whale population with some 65 whales returning each season to feed in the nutrient-rich waters, and your captain is excellent at locating them. In fact, whale sightings are guaranteed! If a whale is not spotted during your cruise we'll refund you $100 ($50 for children). Your captain will let you know when whales are spotted, but it's more likely you'll first be alerted by the collective chorus of "Oohhs!" and "Ahhs!" from your fellow adventurers as they witness a giant humpback suddenly breach.

Jen & Jack was absolutely wonderful today With plentiful of knowledge and fun facts the entire trip. They was in communication with other boats finding out the best places to take us so we seen wildlife. Weather is was whales, sealions or eagles. My husband and I had a wonder time!

The food at the salmon bake was delicious! And the whale watching tour was a lot of fun. The crew prioritized safety, and was very knowledgeable about the whales. We had a great time!

We did this tour on our Honeymoon and we loved it ! Matt and Claire were our Captain and naturist on the tour . We really enjoyed the passion, enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge from both of them. It totally shinned through the tour and in their chats with our group . Highly recommend this tour as this duo clearly love their job and it makes the entire experience a memorable one. We saw loads of whales, birds and sea lions all set to the back drop of the beautiful scenery and the fresh air of Alaska .

Had a great trip, a quick and scenic trip to find the Humpback Whales. Jackson was able to identify a couple of the Whales and tell us about their lives. One was a whale that had been injured by a boat propeller, but seemed to be recovering nicely. We also spotted Sea Lions on a Channel Marker buoy and were able to get some great shots. You could tell that both Jackson and Max are very passionate about the whales, which helped to make the experience special. Highly recommended!
