3.00We purchased skip the line tickets and small group—neither of which happened. We were excited to finally visit Pompeii, and overall, the experience was worthwhile—but a few things could have been better. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the history of the site, which we appreciated. However, they often referenced areas or artifacts we weren’t going to see, which was a bit frustrating. It left us feeling like we were only getting part of the experience and made us wonder what we were missing. The transportation arrangements were also a bit confusing. It wasn’t entirely clear where to meet or how things were supposed to flow, which added some unnecessary stress at the start of the day. Pompeii itself is absolutely incredible and worth seeing, but this particular tour might leave you wishing you had more time—or more clarity. I’d recommend doing some research beforehand and maybe considering a more in-depth option if you’re really interested in exploring the full site.
