After you travel by train from Vienna to Salzburg, you will meet your guide directly at the train station to experience the unique story of the Sound of Music in Salzburg during a 4-hour private custom tour. The train tickets from Vienna to Salzburg are not included, so you'll need to arrange these at your own expense. No transportation between Vienna and Salzburg is included.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, not just about the sound of music but about Austria and the history of the surrounding area. The sing-along was so much fun and the places we stopped we’re magical and made the movie come alive for me. The scenery was breathtaking as well.

We booked a Sound of Music private tour. Our guide Birgit was fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for more. We wanted to pack in as much as possible, and Birgit suggested some extras and we loved every minute of it. She was able to answer every question we asked and also gave us loads of fun facts about Saltzburg and I would really say she went over and above to make sure we all had a great time. We laughed a lot, the sun shone, and from the singing in the minibus to the twirling in the fields, we loved it all. We were a party of 6 siblings from the UK who adore The Sound of Music, and our tour exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much to Birgit from Jo, Sahra, Sally, Vicky, Matt and Jon :)

It was very interesting to learn all the different “back” stories to the filming of the movie. And seeing all the different locations where filming took place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information I was not aware of. I have seen the movie multiple times, however, after the tour there are so many different things I will look out for the next time I watch.

This is a fantastic tour. Our whole family had a great time. Our guide Leopold was wonderful. Great storytelling and history lessons along the way. We appreciate modifications he made to accommodate our needs. Highly recommend.

Awful. Way too much time on the bus. Boring. Don't do it. A few anecdotes about the music. You can do much better in 5 min on Wikipedia.

PETER WAS ABSOLUTLY AMAZING AND SO KNOWLEDGABLE!!! WE WERE SCHEDULED FOR THE GROUP TOUR AND THE BUS ENDED UP BEING FULL, SO HE TOOK US ON A HALF DAY PRIVATE TOUR AND WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!!
