  We were changed boats but were told in advance then had the best day. Great guide very informative and chatty. Saw orcas, humpbacks breaching and fin whales

• Use extreme caution and do your research before booking with them

  We booked this tour 4 months ago and it was cancelled at the last minute with no explanation. Because of this we were not able to book with anyone else because everything was already booked. I understand things happen but they did not communicate or even offer another date or tour companies that we could do it with.

  We absolutely LOVED our experience with Polar Adventures’ whale watching tour and would highly recommend it. Our guides mentioned that the day we went (Dec. 17) was one of their best days of the season — we saw lots of orca, humpback whales, and the upper deck even spotted an eagle. My partner and I particularly loved watching the magnificent snow capped fjords we were sailing through. We had a fantastic time and would gladly go again even if we hadn’t seen any whales. Our guides were funny and friendly. Our original booking was changed slightly — we were put onto a larger boat (with more people) but we also were able to get to the feeding area quicker. Not a bad thing, but the time and location were changed and I didn’t receive an email/notification (checked junk folders, etc.), so if we hadn’t shown up early to the original meeting point, we would have been left behind. Just a reminder for others to not be late! ;)

  The way to the watching spot was very long and we had only few minutes there. We we're a bit disappointed.

  Booked with Polar Adventures. We arrived at 7.40 for our 8am departure to be told their boat was broken and that we were departing on MS Gabrielle at 9am. It would have been good if the company had communicated this beforehand. We were given baguettes as we boarded the vessel. Plenty of room on board the boat. Seats very comfortable. We had good conditions and made our journey to the whales feeding ground. Arrived at 11 ish. We were surrounded by orca approx 40. It was amazing. Not only orca but humpbacks too. Even the guides seems excited by the luck we had on this trip. We stayed for an hour before heading back to Tromso. Guides were friendly and knowledgeable about the whales. It was overall a fantastic experience.
