  Great experience! Issac knows a lot about mezcals, he gave us a great professorship. The mezcales that give you a taste of this delicious and the cocktails too. The place is super nice. I highly recommend it. Excellent plan out of the ordinary.

  The guided tasting in Mexcal with Brenda and Mau was simply spectacular. The atmosphere, explanation and treatment were impeccable, and care was noted in every detail. Not only is mezcal tested, you live an experience that connects with the culture and the senses.   I attended this mezcal tasting at Mexcal Bar, inside the Camino Real hotel in Polanco and it was an extraordinary experience. From the beginning, the atmosphere was welcoming thanks to Mauricio Vite, an excellent host who with his team welcomed us with warmth, attention and a lot of good vibe. The tasting was guided by Brenda, who gave us a fascinating explanation about the origin of the mezcals we tried. He taught us to identify fruity notes by smell, as well as explaining the types of agave and the regions from which each came, I learned a lot! The welcome cocktail was quite a surprise: a mezcal margarita with avocado, a creative and delicious combination. At the end of the tasting, we participated in a small workshop to prepare our own cocktail using the mezcal that we liked best. I chose the artisanal mezcal Convite and mixed it with pineapple juice and orange Cointreau... I loved it! All juices, salts and other ingredients were natural and prepared at home, which was noticeable in the quality of the flavor. In short, it was a sensory, educational and fun experience. Highly recommended for those who want to discover the world of mezcal in an authentic and well-guided way.

  My wife and I recently tried out this mezcal degustation, and wow, what a night! Imagine a cozy, hidden bar inside one of the fanciest hotels in Polanco, Mexico City. The vibe was perfect—dim lighting, super comfy seating, and an atmosphere that just makes you want to stay forever. The tasting itself was incredible. The hosts were absolute pros—they guided us through the history, flavors, and craftsmanship of mezcal. My wife was completely amazed (and trust me, she’s not easily impressed). Seeing her light up with every new sip was honestly the highlight of the night. By the end, we both agreed it was like finding that perfect taco stand you never want to tell anyone about—but this time with mezcal. The location was the cherry on top. Polanco is lively, safe, and easy to get to, and the bar being inside such an iconic hotel made it feel extra special. Between the delicious drinks, the cozy vibe, and sharing the whole experience with my wife, it was one of those nights we’ll always remember. If you’re in Mexico City and want something unique, fun, and full of flavor, this mezcal degustation is a no-brainer. Go for it—you’ll thank me later. Salud!

  If you’re even remotely curious about mezcal, this experience is an absolute must. From the moment we arrived, our host made us feel like we were stepping into something truly special—not just a tasting, but a journey into the heart of Oaxaca’s mezcal culture. Our host was the perfect mix of fun, charismatic, and incredibly knowledgeable. They didn’t just pour drinks—they told stories. We learned about the different agave varieties, the traditional production process, and the deep cultural significance behind each sip. But what made it really unforgettable was how approachable and energetic the vibe was. It never felt like a lecture—it was more like a conversation with a friend who just happened to know everything about mezcal. The drinks? Absolutely phenomenal. We tried several small-batch mezcals, each with its own distinct flavor and character. Smoky, earthy, sweet, complex—you name it. My taste buds were on an adventure. Best part? The people. We came in as strangers and left as friends. There was this incredible sense of community that built throughout the night—sharing stories, and laughing over our favorite pours. Honestly, I can’t recommend this enough. Whether you’re a mezcal enthusiast or totally new to it, this experience will leave you with a deeper appreciation (and probably a few new friends too).
