We had a great tour with Peter! It was so nice to have a private tour and guide who was so knowledgeable. He was also a history buff so we got to learn lots of new things about the history of Vietnam. Truly enjoyed the experience.

My wife and I have been to Vietnam four times but never taken a food tour. We booked this tour from our hotel and as it turned out we had Huy looking after just the two of us. That's personal service. Our guide Huy was execellent. He not only provided guidance on food but also their customs and history. At the outset he taught us the way to cross Hanoi streets, local style, hand up. It worked. The food, started off with papya salad with beef jerky, sweet and spicy (not hot), moving on to Summer Rolls and steamed rice pancakes. Our next location we enjoyed noodle soup with chicken then noodle soup with beef. Did you know Pho means noodle, not soup and the chicken dish came with separate broth to enjoy by itself. It had been prepared for over 24 hours. Yum. By now we were reaching our limits, but a first for us, Egg Coffee Giarng. Egg coffee being introduced into coffee because milk was in short supply during the French colonisation. We had to do it for the team, a Banh Mi (made with pate), from a street vendor, fried fish and finally sticky rice coconut ice cream. Oh and a cleansing ale from a brewer where the beer only lasts 24 hours, no preservatives and light to drink, 3.5% alcohol. My wife and I are in our 70's and not the most agile. Huy organised slightly higher chairs or stools for us rather than the very low types. We visited 12 locations in a bit over 3 hours, all within a tight radius in the Old Quarter. Would we recommend this tour, you bet ! Thank you Huy

The NỘM THỊT BÒ KHÔ (Dried beef with green papaya salad) was amazing! Then there was the - PHỞ GÀ TRỘN (Dry chicken Pho). Last meal of Bun Cha finished off with Cà phê trứng and dessert of Kem xôi xoài (Mango sticky rice + coconut ice-cream)

Four old ladies wandering looking for substance late at night, what could go wrong? Nothing of course because Patrick took amazing care of us. We ate dishes we thought we knew, so much better in these tiny restaurants. Patrick explained and helped us find what we didn't know we would end up loving. Thank you so much

We took this tour in the evening with Linh as our guide and she was amazing. Not only was the food at every stop delicious, she provided us with sprinkles of Vietnam and Hanoi culture, history and a few laughs along the way. She was extremely professional, warm and friendly and proved perfect company along the way. Great job Linh. Did I mention how good the food was?

Huy is great! Very polite, knowledgeable about the area and culture. Answered questions i had about the culture and how people live in the area. Very educational and interesting! The food was excellent and gave us more confidence where and what to eat. Priceless for your first time in Vietnam. I would recommend booking him for a guided food tour for your first day in Hanoi. It really helped to get to know the area and the excellent food hear.
