3.00Martin, our tour guide was excellent. He gave us a lot of information about the region and swiss culture. He drove us safely and professionally through the winding and hilly roads. The appenzeller tows is super cute and you can buy good quality cheeses and liquors from the region. The main reason for giving this tour an average qualification is because the chocolate and cheese tours are self guided, especially the cheese tour is super disappointed. You go and watch son videos and see the factory through a crystal wall. No one explain you anything. Not even what are the type of cheeses that you are going to taste in the sample tasting. I don’t think that the price you are paying for the tour which is about 1000 USD is consistent with the experience. If you want to watch a video you go to youtube. This experience must be improved.

5.00What an amazing day of all things Swiss! Chocolate, cheese, Swiss Alps, churches, villages, shopping and eating traditional Swiss food. Martin, our private guide (trip pilot) was awesome!! He had us laughing, learning and enjoying our day in the Zurich area!! We highly recommend him and the tour 😊

5.00We enjoyed a perfect day with our guide Martin! We learned so much about Swiss culture and history along the way as we traveled from experience to experience. The day was the perfect combination of local culture, amazing food, and the beautiful outdoor experience at Mt Santis. Martin was very professional and most personable, easily adjusting to our style and desired experiences. Highly recommend this tour with Martin!
View the mountain, taste the chocolate and move away from the cheese.

5.00We took a drive to Appenzell and to Mt. Santis for a view of the mountains and some residual snow. Beautiful scenery that is worth the drive. We had lunch in a local Swiss restaurant that is owned and operated by fiesty lady who cooked good food. The chocolate factory tour was informative and a delight for all the samples available but the production line was shutdown during our tour. We did our purchase of chocolates here. The cheese factory tour could be more engaging. The samples were given in a small box with the explanation of the age from left to right. We were given small bags to bring home some herbs. What is the connection with cheese?!?!
