As some of the most experienced guides, they analyze weather predictions prior to every tour, and have close contact with a network of guides for the highest chances to see the Northern Lights. The comfortable vehicle is fully equipped with everything you may need in the Arctic, allowing the group to discover remote scenery, reaching more calm and peaceful places. Pick you is at a central location in Tromsø, allowing for more time for finding, and seeing the Aurora earlier! With no two nights the same, our enthusiasm and dedication never fades.
Upon reaching suitable skies, we will set up camp for the evening. Most of the time this is a shorter drive to the surrounding coastal islands of Tromsø, or if needed a longer drive into Finland.

5.00We really wanted to see the Northern Lights and booked this tour. On the road with guide Samuel and driver Anna - it didn't look like it would work at first, but with persistence, hope and luck it still worked out. Even if it would not have worked out, this is a very nice excursion - as far as we are concerned a must, whatever the outcome, or as Samuel says: "A lot of hope, no expectations." Do it!

5.00The cloud cover estimated on the app was 100%, thought there was no chance of seeing it, and the first place kept snowing, no chance. The second location The sky started to shine with stars, but there were no auroras. They all gave up. They sat back in the car and warmed up. They were called out by anna near midnight. They saw the most beautiful Aurora❤️ and their wish came true. ✌️(☉☉☉) Thanks to the guide's little brother for his tireless efforts and patience, the experience was very good. Recommended.

5.00Filip and Lucas were wonderful, they found the perfect spot, cleared the snow with shovels, and served us soup, coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, etc. Thanks to them, we saw the Northern Lights in all their splendor for the first time. They took some superb photos for us, the whole trip was a dream come true. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

5.00My wife and I signed up for a small group (up to 8 pax) Northern Lights tour on 18/11/2025 and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were assigned Fede, an Argentinian who has got great experience and speaks fluent English. He was both the guide and driver, of a relatively new and comfortable Mercedes-Benz minivan. Fede was very chatty and shared with us his many experiences, including as a professional scuba diver. He drove us 3hrs from Tromso to Kilpisjarvi, Finland and camped us at a secluded area next to a frozen lake. He personally handed us our snow suit and helped us wear. We were also provided with a headlamp. Then he set up a bonfire and we waited for Northern Lights action. Fede also shared some knowledge about Northern Lights and how to read some technical indicators in apps. The night slowly came to life when the intensity of the Northern Lights picked up. We had a great time taking various patterns of the lights. Fede also helped us take some great photos. Then came supper. He made delicious hot soup and shared cookies for all. I highly recommend Northern Soul Adventures (i signed up for 2 activities with them and both were great), as they are professional, equipment are new, their guides are excellent.

5.00This is the second time I've joined Northern Soul's Aurora tour, amongst many that I've participated in during my last few trips to the Tromso and the high Arctic. They were one of the best in terms of comfort and enjoyment. Firstly, Filip and Mathias were excellent, and surprisingly found, possibly, the only patch of clear sky in a 200km radius given the hail, snow, sleet and rain in Tromso. I expected very little given the weather conditions. Secondly, the attention to detail is excellent. Feet and hands warmers, seating around the camp fire, and location selection. Finally, after two trips across the world, and many many tours, the aurora finally showed itself, and luckily we had clear clear sky. Ultimately, you can't go wrong with Northern Soul. Excellent and highly recommended based on consistency, quality and amenity.

5.00The guide, Jaco, decided at the last minute to totally go a different direction and our experience was amazing. We got to see the Northern Lights as they danced across the sky. Ana was very helpful as I hurt my knee a few hours before the excursion and she made sure that I saw the NL and helped my husband and I take pictures. Wonderful excursion.

5.00Our tour last night was absolutely amazing! We did not have much luck with seeing the northern lights due to cloud coverage, but we did see some and were able to have our photos taken. Our guides made this a wonderful night enjoying a fire, dinner and stories! This is an experience that we will never forget!
