Our guide (Alma) was wonderful, knowledgeable and engaging. The Cenote experience is a real highlight. We really enjoyed the homemade tacos!

Unfortunately we got off a hotel pickup. We were packed into a mini van , no space with four adults on back seats with tiny seats! Didn’t want to sit in a very unsafe van without being able to put seat belts in. No space for bags and 3 hour ride from Cancun wasn’t going to happen! Never had this before. So we got out at the Hilton Waldorf Astoria as two more people got on the mini bus. On a positive the tour guide was really good and supportive and agreed that the travel was unacceptable. We got a taxi at our own expense back to our hotel which took 15 minutes yet we’d been in the mini van for over an hour! So waste if 60 usd. Avoid and do the tour yourself!!

This was such an awesome tour and well worth the money. We had a full day’s worth of activities and we are beat! Our tour guide, David, was very personable as well as knowledgeable. He is a self-proclaimed “nerd” and enjoys learning everything about his culture so he can relay it to his guests. He remembered the names of everyone in the group and constantly initiated conversation so there were no awkward silences. There was a photographer with us and I was skeptical about this at first, but it turned out to be really convenient because I didn’t have to worry about trying to keep my phone dry or keeping track of a waterproof camera during the snorkel sessions. The pictures turned out well and the price was reasonable.

The Tulum ruins were beautiful and it was a pleasure to know more about the Mayans. We were not able to go to the reefs because the weather had not been good in the days before, but the contingency plan was just as delightful, and we went snorkeling in the lagoon at Yal-Ku. Even if I didn't know how to swim, Gabi, our guide, was very attentive all the time, and gave me support until I was comfortable to take part in the activity. Finally, we went to the cenote, which was beautiful and an amazing experience. The tacos were tasty. Unfortunately, the pictures by the photographer were unaffordable (they would cost almost half of what we paid for the whole activity). There should be a mode of paying for one overpriced photo as a souvenir instead of a package that, at least in my group, no one could purchase. As someone mentioned, we only visited one cenote. I don't know if this was connected to the change of plans that was required or if the activity description should be updated, but some miscommunication is happening.

We had a great time on this tour! Raul was awesome and we really enjoyed chatting with the other 5 people on the tour as well. Highly recommend swim shoes, we got some on amazon before we left and they were great for the cenote and snorkeling. Our snorkeling portion was changed last minute bc of the windy conditions so we went to a lagoon instead and saw a ton of fish! The photographer was great and we bought the photos at the end, it was nice to not have to bring your camera and just enjoy the experience. We did take our camera into the ruins though to get our own pics. As said in other reviews, sunscreen is a no-no so if you need to get a sun shirt I recommend it. We did put on sunscreen before we left for the tulum ruins and we’re glad we did, then rinsed it off before we went in the lagoon.
