Start your tour by navigating the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Xochimilco canals aboard a traditional trajinera while enjoying the music, color and joy that define this historic corner. Continue to the colonial neighborhood of Coyoacán, famous for its cobblestone streets, traditional architecture and artistic atmosphere. Stroll through the main square, sample typical sweets at the local market and learn about the history of this iconic neighborhood. As an optional complement, visit the Frida Kahlo Museum (“La Casa Azul”), where you can learn more about the life and work of one of Mexico’s most renowned artists. In case of unavailability at the Frida Kahlo Museum (Blue House), the visit to the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Studio House Museum or the new Casa Kahlo Museum (Red House) will be provided as an alternative. This tour combines history, culture and fun, ideal for travelers seeking authentic immersion in the heart of the CDMX.

Our driver Edgar was very friendly and professional. It was nice to have a private car to be driven around the city. Given the long distances, it was great to have that private car and it helped to have him organize the trajinera for Xochimilco. We principally did the tour in order to get the almost impossible to obtain tickets for the Frida Kahlo museum but were pleasantly surprised at how the entire tour went. We didn’t realize there was also a tour of the neighborhood around the museum, which included walking through the market.

My family and I had a spectacular experience with Derek! Our trip was filled with lots of history, fun facts, and an absolutely great time! We made one change with the Frida Kahlo house and instead went to Anahuacalli Museum. What a delight. It was filled so many artifacts, I could have stayed all day. Xochimilco was a dream and a check on my bucket list! From the Mariachis, the snacks, specialty drinks, Xochimilco was everything I hoped it would be! Coyoacán was so intensely beautiful with all of the colors and visuals. A great time was spent with Derek! She made it so special! I would recommend her again and again!!!!

Celebrate the inn of the company in Xochimilco and we organized the whole event, food, drink, horn for music and mariachi, everything was super well organized, a mega atmosphere, additional to it included going to the museum of Frida khalo and Derek had everything well organized with the guides of the museum, they were on time and attentive to the people, super recommended

Everything was absolute perfection. Our guides went out of their way to ensure this was an experience we would never forget. They even took us our of the way to find an awesome coffee shop at my wife's request. Absolutely worth every penny!
They are very accessible to any questions you may have.

It has been an excellent experience! Derek picked me up on time and we spent 5 hours walking around Xochimilco and Coyoacán. The boat ride was quiet and the view of other boats with their colors and designs made everything much more beautiful. I bought silver jewelry from Carlos, I recommend them! Lovely pieces! Then we went to the Coyoacán market and I was amazed with the colors and local offer. Derek is very friendly, with excellent level of conversation and great Service. We crowned it all by eating corns with mayonnaise, cheese and chili powder. Delicious! I found it a perfect way to tour these two iconic places of Mexico City. I recommend them!!

Everything was excellent, the route and the explanations very good, plus they have flexibility if you want to stop for a moment somewhere, it is perfect if you want to know Coyoacán and even more if you have never climbed a trajinera.

It was an extremely complete Tour where they were coupled to our schedules together of all the stops we requested both as tourist sites and of interest, such as the greenhouses to admire beautiful flowers the Xochimilco, the house of Hernán Cortes and the main church of Coyoacán. Likewise we were given the best recommendations of local food starting with the famous chilakil cakes, following the best fins and ice cream in Coyoacán and ending with the best tacos of Canasta that I have come to taste and at an excellent price. I would totally repeat a tour with Via Mexa.
