Wow, what an experience from start to finish. As soon as you walk through the door you get the feeling of something special. Toku, his wife and their assistant, our hosts throughout the experience were brilliant. From the choosing of the Kimono's, the preparation for my partner (hair etc) to delve right into the ceremony was nothing short of great. The ceremony itself was amazing and you hung on every aspect in anticipation of what was next. This was truely a fully immersive experience and one we will not forget for a long, long time. Do yourself a favour and experience this for yourself. You wont be disappointed.

What a lovely experience with this family! We started on time. We chose kimonos and obis. He dressed us snuggly and we continued to the ceremony. We enjoyed every moment of this beautiful, relaxing time.

We had such a wonderful experience! Toku and family were splendid and made us feel welcome. They are such caring people that we got stuck in Osaka and knew we would not be able to make it in time to the Tea Ceremony by far, they immediately wrote me back saying they would wait for us! They did not want us too miss the experience! The Kimonos were beautiful and they took the time and dedication to dress us perfectly ( even my hair). They took beautiful pictures and the TC was done with reverence and explained in detail. We absolutely would recommend this experience with this super nice family!

Hosted by a lovely couple in their kimono shop, we got an intimate experience that we both fully enjoyed. There was a lot of care and detail that went into the afternoon, from the kimono dressing to the tea ceremony, with some beautiful photos to take away!

Instead of the typical tourist session, this felt like a humbling experience. Meeting Toku-san and his wife, away from the masses in what felt like “the real Japan”, learning his life story and learning all about the tea culture left a lasting impression.

This tea ceremony was one of the highlights of our trip. It was intimate, thoughtful, and deeply personal. The tea master, who previously worked as a shop builder, has reconnected with his heritage by continuing a family tradition in his 4th-generation tea house. My daughters and I loved learning the art of matcha tea making, from the rituals of preparation to the meaning behind each step. The experience felt authentic, never rushed, and gave us a chance to slow down, connect, and appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture in a way we will always remember. Give your review a title

While booking this activity, we had high expectation from it. Considering that the duration was 1.5 hours, we hoped to learn more about Japanese tea and the process of making it. We also expected to taste a few special teas. However, we were left not so satisfied with the experience. Simple tasks were dragged to fill in time. Over priced and short delivered!
