This tea ceremony was one of the highlights of our trip. It was intimate, thoughtful, and deeply personal. The tea master, who previously worked as a shop builder, has reconnected with his heritage by continuing a family tradition in his 4th-generation tea house. My daughters and I loved learning the art of matcha tea making, from the rituals of preparation to the meaning behind each step. The experience felt authentic, never rushed, and gave us a chance to slow down, connect, and appreciate the beauty of Japanese culture in a way we will always remember. Give your review a title

While booking this activity, we had high expectation from it. Considering that the duration was 1.5 hours, we hoped to learn more about Japanese tea and the process of making it. We also expected to taste a few special teas. However, we were left not so satisfied with the experience. Simple tasks were dragged to fill in time. Over priced and short delivered!

Our host and his wife made this a truly special experience for my husband and I. They were both so friendly and eager to share the history of the tea ceremony and history of their family. They helped us pick out our kimonos from a large selection and also styled my hair with many beautiful hair accessories to choose from. The tea ceremony itself is very solemn but our host carefully explained each step to us and we were encouraged to take lots of photos. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour.

Every bit of this experience was more than worth what they are charging! Such wonderful people, extremely knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome and excited to learn the entire time from the moment we entered the building to sending us off with warmth and a smile! Truly unforgettable, I would recommend this to anybody!
