-Hotel Meeting: Your tour begins between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Start your tour by walking through the gate to the first camp - Auschwitz I - originally conceived as a concentration camp, to be used as a detention centre for the many Polish citizens arrested after Germany annexed the country in 1939, with the most recognizable sign Arbeit Macht Frei (Work Makes You Free).This part usually takes 2 hours and you will be using a headset to hear your guide clearly. Auschwitz-Birkenau
After the 1st camp short break up to 15 minutes is planned. You will be taken by us to visit the second part of the tour - Birkenau (Auschwitz II), only 15 minutes away, which is the largest camp built and operated for the specific purpose of making Europe ''Judenrein'' (free of Jews). The same guide continues a poignant lecture about the camp in the village Brzezinka (Birkenau) which was constructed in 1941 on the order of Heinrich Himmler (SS commander) and could hold some 90 000 prisoners.You will be told about terrible stories of unimaginable living conditions as well as cruel selection and pseudo-scientific medical experiments made by prominent Nazi doctors including Josef Mengele. A history about soldiers of the 60th Army of the First Ukrainian Front opened the gates of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945, which meant the final liberation, ends your tour with a feeling, both this genocide should never have happened and it can not happen again.

5.00Used Wonderway to tour the salt mines and Auschwitz. Good price for being picked up and dropped back to the hotel. Matthew and Simon the drivers were both friendly and informative about the city and went that extra mile to make the experience more enjoyable and were wuite helpful in terms of getting the tickets and drop off points sorted

4.00We were originally supposed to go on Saturday, but I guess due to guided tour capacity on that day, we had to either reschedule to Sunday at 5:40am, cancel or leave at 2am on Saturday. We went with the rescheduled time at 5:40am on Sunday. Despite the early start, our driver who collected us at our hotel and drove us from Krakow, was really lovely and friendly. The tour itself was amazing. Both Auschwitz I and Birkenau are breathtaking in the worst sense of the word. They serve a somber reminder of the pure evil that took place under the Nazis. Our tour guide was brilliant. He was extremely knowledgeable and delivered his talks in such a way that came across as very authentic and unique. The one minor downside was that we felt that the tour itself was very rushed at points. For example when we went into the jail in Block 11, the tour group rushed past each cell, prohibiting us to take everything in. I know this is probably due to the insane levels of demand for Auschwitz currently resulting in countless tour groups being both ahead of and behind us resulting in our need to not hold everything up by stopping. Still, it does take away from the experience a bit. Despite this, I would still recommend this experience to anyone who wishes to go to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Although it’s an early start, I’m so glad we chose this, as it also cuts out the hassle of getting to there from Krakow yourself and standing in massive queues for hours in the middle of the night to try and get individual tickets.

4.00Great communication for last minute travel on this trip. Price was quite inflated for what it is and should never be getting to these kind of levels for this. But service was great, safe travel to/from the camp. Guide is local guide from the museum. Well organized. Recommended for as long as you order it well in advance.

5.00We booked this tour about a week before the experience. There was a little bit of a miscommunication from the company about the pickup time & we had to leave around 1:30am. However, once we arrived we realized it was necessary to go this early to ensure we got tickets for the English tour. Our tour guide, Mateusz went above & beyond to make it a pleasant experience for us. He waited in line for 5 hours for us to make sure we got tickets while he let us rest in the car. While we waited for the tour to begin, he told us more information about the area. He was very patient & explained all of the steps throughout the day which was much appreciated because it was extremely busy there. His clear communication was helpful to make sure we knew exactly where to be & to see each part of the tour. I was going to only rate about 2 stars, but Mateusz made it 5 stars!

5.00Very interesting and sad at the same time xx defo recommend for anyone visiting Poland , the guide was very good at explaining and telling us everything, mini bus was comfey and picked us up on time x got provided a lunch for extra 50 z was lovely with water and alot to eat for the journey. 4.00My husband thought the experience was very informative. The guide was very good, however he did feel alittle rushed. Evetytime he caught up she was off again! He is 72 years old. Would definately recommend. Only one negative was they didn't get dropped back at hotel on their return. My son was able to use Google maps to get them back to hotel.

5.00BOOK EARLY! Apparently tours can book two months in advance or the day before. In our case there weren’t any schedule-able tickets available, so the company gives you the options to try the next day, get a refund, or leave SUPER early in the morning to get standby tickets. The company really put in the effort for us to get a standby ticket, and we were very thankful for their efforts!
