While single travelers can book this tour directly, there is a "2 guests minimum" rule to give the tour a GO. in case of a single guest, the session might be cancelled and the guest will be notify as soon as possible, offering a rescheduling, or a full-refund.
This is NOT a private tour. It's a group tour that can have up to 12 people.
Please note that this is a WALKING TOUR, not a bus tour.
Please note, this tour is APPROXIMATELY 5 hours, meaning it can differ by around 30 minutes before or after the estimated time.
The access to the top of the Monkey Park consists of a short hike (15-20 minutes) through a steep path. Please get comfortable shoes and make sure you are in a reasonable physical condition to do it. Thank you.
Please get to the meeting location 15 minutes before the departure time. As we have other groups in the tour, we cannot accept any late guests. If you are late to the tour, YOU CANNOT JOIN the tour and will not be given a refund.
Our Hotline will reach out to you through what's app on departure time if you have not arrived, so please download WhatsApp prior to this tour. This will make any last minute communication easier between the guide and the guests.

5.00What can I say? Our tour guide Kareem was a dream. He met us at the train station and filled our day with facts galore about the gardens and bamboo forest. He even guided me back to the station afterwards and helped me figure out the route back. Thank you for being so polite and charming!

5.00Toru was a great guide! He was full of great facts, funny stories, and local knowledge. The Japanese gardens were stunning and a peaceful escape from the crowds in bamboo forest. Highly recommend. It was a wonderful experience!

5.00Our guide was excellent, set a good pace, very knowledgeable. The range of sites we visited was great. The monkey park was not our favorite and the hike up was something on a hot day, but the views of Kyoto from there were worth it.

5.00Great tour, Bamboo forest was stunning. Went to a lovely temple and visited a home of a japanese movie star. To top it off went to the monkey park which rounded off a great day. Francis our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Also instructions for meeting spot was easy to follow.

5.00Firstly, going to monkey park is a serious trek, and I do not blame our tour guide for leaving us there. Goodness. But I had a great time. Our guide's name was called Toru and he always had something to tell us about, even as we were moving between locations. He was very fun and friendly. During the trip he takes photos of the group, which you can download from a website at a later date. I really loved everything we did, and the pace of the walk was very relaxed.
So much more than the bamboo forest!

5.00We covered a lot of ground on this tour and visited some great spots I would have probably skipped if going on my own. The villa, for example, was unexpectedly captivating in terms of views and landscapes. The monkey park at the end is a favorite for many, though i saw more monkeys and had a better experience on a previous visit to Nagano. Our tour guide was British but has lived in Japan for nearly 20 yrs. We were able to a lot of questions about local practices.
