This tour covers every part of the bamboo forest. By rickshaw and on foot!
The first stop after cruising through the bustling main street is the bamboo forest. Enjoy the vivid green bamboo as your guide pulls you along the path reserved for rickshaws only, away from other visitors. Have your camera or mobile phone ready to take pictures. You don’t want to miss this.
After passing by the Nonomiya Shrine you will enter the second part of the bamboo forest, which is designed like a little park. Here we can take great group pictures with the stunning green bamboo in the background. On the way to the third and last section of the bamboo forest, you will pass by a well-kept scene from the Edo period
The third part of the bamboo forest can only be accessed on foot, so our guide will park the rickshaw within walking distance and then guide you to the most famous and impressive part of the bamboo forest. (To avoid the crowds here, we recommend starting the tour before noon)

Children of 6 years and older are required to have a seat and will thus pay the same price as an adult.
Our seats measure 74cm (29. 1in) in width and can accommodate up to two adults side by side.
Children 5 years and under can ride for free provided that they will sit on the lap of an adult (one child per adult = max 2 adults & 2 children per rickshaw)
If a child 5 years will be using one of the two seats of the rickshaw, it must book as an adult.
Infants must be able to hold up their head by themselves.
The amount of time you will be late will be deducted from your tour duration (delay of 10min or more results in automatic cancellation)

Time changes on the day of the tour can not be accommodated.
Any time changes/rescheduling requests sent after 5pm the day before your tour can not be accommodated
finishing locations other than our rickshaw stand may be subject to an additional drop-off fee (payable on the day of the tour)

Get off the rickshaw and walk to the most famous part of the bamboo forest which can not be accessed by rickshaw. The walk includes going up and down a steep slope.

5.00WOW... I have such a respect for these wonderful people pulling these... Ocean was one of the most polite and lovely person I have met during my trip... we got to select what we wanted to see and ended up extending the experience to see more of this beautiful area we would not have seen if we were walking it. He took amazing photos for us and even assisted us when having a travel issues... It was just a highlight of our holiday and totally reccomend to do... so worth it

5.00Amazing experience!! Such a good activity for a day when it’s really hot because the rickshaw has shad, and they give you a cold towel. Definitely made the bamboo forest experience a highlight. We loved this and would recommend.

5.00Every stop Hikaru Inone recommended was excellent! Also, Hikaru took very good care of us, he was extremely friendly and welcoming, polite to passerby’s, and taught us a lot of history. He made the tour fun and want to come back again! The rickshaw ride itself was very fun to try. Also, Hikaru was able to communicate with us very well in English, I am happy he was able to take time to speak with us. Thank you very much Hikaru and EBISUYA RICKSHAW, I very much enjoyed the experience!

4.00This was a great tour and the guides were the utmost professionals. So friendly, knowledgeable and strong. We felt kind of bad watching them pull our rickshaw especially since the day was incredibly hot. However, they were utmost pros and did their best to make sure that they provided a great tour. I knocked off a star overall because I think that it would be good to know that you have to sit in the rickshaw most of the tour except once to take pictures inside the bamboo grove. I also thought that there was a separate path for rickshaws the entire tour through the forest but it was just a short while in the beginning and we weren’t able to get out and take pics when no one was around. My whole purpose of booking the tour was to avoid crowds for pictures so I felt a bit disappointed in that we were either sharing paths with other tourists in the forest (who took pictures of us like we were the tourist attraction) or traveled around town to get to the other side of the bamboo forest where we did eventually get off the rickshaw to take pictures. Maybe it’s on me for having different expectations or reading the tour details wrong so sharing this for other’s to be helpful. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the tour for anyone who doesn’t want to walk or are unable to and would like a guide. The guys were great.
