5.00We had an awesome time on the Kyoto and Nara tour with our guide, Somei. He was punctual, friendly, and really knowledgable about the places we visited. He answered all of our random questions about life in Kyoto, and made the whole experience feel super relaxed. He also took amazing picture of us at the temples! What we loved most was how flexible Somei was with the tour. We were able to go at our own pace and see what we wanted. The temples and shrines we visited were absolutely stunning, and Somei gave us some great insights into both Shinto and Buddhist traditions. We would definitely recommend this tour — especially if you get Somei as your guide. You won’t regret it!

5.00We had such a great day with our tour guide, Yujiro (Ben) He was super friendly and knowledgeable the whole time. We got to see and feed the deers at the deer park and the Great Buddha Temple, both were amazing. The Arashiyama Bamboo is also very serene peaceful although it was a little bit crowded. I especially loved the visit to the Golden Temple, it was so peaceful and beautiful. Thanks, Ben, for making the day so fun and memorable! We’ll definitely recommend this tour to our friends

5.00our tour guide, Ben is very accommodating and friendly. He brought us to see the deer park and the big Buddha temple. It was very fun day. The years are not just cute but also friendly. I love the visit to the golden temple. It was very serious and peaceful.

1.00This tour cost about twice as much as other similar tours but we chose it because it supposedly provided an English speaking tour guide and had good reviews. How sadly disappointed we were. The van was at the lower end (seats were small and basic, there was even a dirty sock under the seat in front) and there was no guide. We had a driver who provided no commentary at all during the hours of driving and scant and basic information on the temples we visited. He was very hard to understand, and while he tried hard he was most definitely not a guide. It really was a waste of a day for us.

2.00We booked this tour as a premium tour for one reason and that was to have an informative guide provide an entertaining and insightful overview of Nara and Kyoto’s main attractions. Instead we had a driver who provided scant information and actually admitted that he was only a driver and not a guide. The literature on the marketing material represents a different experience, with an English speaking guide. Given this was a premium tour we feel let down by the opera and will never use this company again. The driver did his best to accomodate timing and visiting the attractions as per the itinerary but without the context, it was a bland experience.

We enjoyed his positive attitude and sense of humor and couldn't Jane been more helpful! We would highly recommend him if you are lucky enough to have him as guide as he is in high demand.
