Warwick Castle
Over a thousand years of history are waiting to be discovered at this fantastic medieval castle. Set against the River Avon within 64 acres of landscaped parkland, this beautiful castle once belonged to the most powerful man in England, The Earl of Warwick. Learn how the 'Kingmaker' was the only man who dared defy the King, and how he defeated the armies of King Edward IV in battle before taking the King himself as a prisoner. Explore the lavishly decorated State Rooms and 17th-century Great Hall; a room boasting an impressive collection of artefacts including suits of armour and medieval weapons. In the castle's 14th-century gaol, the original dungeon, see graffiti left behind by prisoners hundreds of years ago. How many names can you spot?
Stratford-upon-Avon
This picturesque market town is most famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare, widely regarded to be the greatest writer in English literature and the world's preeminent dramatist.

It is truly an all day tour. Angela was a super guide and full of history. She’s approachable and eager to answer questions. I was delighted with her commentary. Kudos to Joe our driver. He handled the traffic with ease and managed those small country roads skillfully.

This is a “taste” of England outside of London. As one review stated before, the stops are brief, but that is how you can see many different spots in England. I took this exact tour in 2001 and wanted to bring my child back to it. While the stops are the same, I feel that since we can no longer go inside of places in Oxford (apparently this a post-Covid change), that part was a bit disappointing. The guide gave us a commentary along the bus rides and allowed for quiet time to look out the windows. I personally love lots of information about the areas and would have like more about the countryside and towns as we were going through them, but that’s just me. A quick run down- 1) Allow yourself enough time to find the coach station. I have been to London many times, but I had trouble finding the correct entrance. 2) Warwick Castle-self-guided tour that provides a lot of information on placards. I felt it was enough time for the castle and grounds (take a jacket/hat as it was super windy and cold on our April visit). There is some food available for takeaway. I remember my previous 2001 tour allowing enough time to go into Warwick itself (which is worth an hour or two IMO) but we didn’t have enough time on this trip. 3) Stratford-upon-Avon: Shakespeare birth home is a nice quick tour. My child said we could have skipped it, but I thought it was still a nice tour. We googled places to eat before our day trip and found MOR (off the main tourist street) that was worth every penny. We had eaten sandwiches on the bus (that we brought from the hotel) but should have eaten lunch at MOR! Food looked fabulous. Great coffee and pastries. Local crowd. An older woman chatted us up the whole time and it was just lovely. Usual trinket shops, but we shopped around a bit too. 4) Oxford: short walking tour with our guide. Have headphones provided by tour company. Got details on the main buildings of Oxford and Harry Potter sites. If you want to go into Christ Church grounds you need to purchase a ticket (ahead of time in peak season or they sell out). Tried to get snacks/drinks at Gregg’s and it was so dirty with overflowing trash that we left. Took our guides advice and had refreshments at a hotel cafe called “The Store”. They made me a mint tea that was fresh mint leaves and a little sugar that was just lovely. Clean bathrooms and couches to sit on. Fun tourist shops along the main building. 4) Upon arriving back to London, we disembarked at Victoria and ate dinner at Pizza Pilgrim (highly recommend, book a reservation if high season). TL/DR: would recommend this tour again if you want just a taste of things outside of London. It is not going to be a full scale tour of any of these places. If you want full access to Oxford buildings and Harry Potter tour, then you should look into doing Oxford on your own or booing an Oxford only tour. Overall, I’m please with the tour but also know what to expect when I went. I recommend taking your own snacks and food that way you can enjoy the towns more and worry less about finding something to eat.

We hired him online. Suffers from specific information for the meeting point. It is not specific which part of the station nor what to do when arriving which was not the same as on previous routes with different guides. Nor specific in the email that must be carried half an hour before. We arrive earlier anyway on our own. We had to be helped by another guide who was there. Thanks to him we didn't miss the bus. When we finally arrived and commented to the guide he gave us no answer. Just talk to the company. The places are nice but it is an expensive route and long bus ride

Both the guide and the driver (Gary) were outstanding. The guide did a great job providing the historic context and background of each site for those unfamiliar with the history

Cotswolds are a drive by because the streets are too narrow for a bus. Mel was a great tour guide and explained that some sites described it as a drive through which was not extremely accurate.
