4.00I was happy to have the experience, but I wish I had more time especially at Ellis Island. The lack of time there most likely was because I added the 9/11 Memorial to the trip. I will go back to Ellis Island on a future trip so I feel like I had the full experience. You need more than 50 minutes for sure. If you want to climb up into the Statue of Liberty you will also need more time and a pass from the National Parks. My only regret was how quick the time went by and the hectic schedule to get on the ferry. I felt like the amount of time they alloted in the itinerary was way shorter than reality.

3.00Basically after we figured out where to meet our tour we were handed tickets and left to our own devices which was confusing to out-of-towners. Quick entrance to ferry was nice but after that you're on your own. Tour itself is strenuous so plan on that. Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island take most of the day. Had to find 911 memorial on our own. Plan on subway to and from.
