Windsor Castle is a working royal palace and planned closures/disruptions may be subject to change. Please view the Schedule tab above for full information on closures.

Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday, we will offer a walking tour instead on those days.

*During peak periods, vehicles without Wi-Fi may be used.

When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Drawings Gallery will remain open.

Due to driver's legal working hours restrictions, this tour will finish within a 2 or 3 minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road, and is only 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus.

St. George's Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. You will not be able to visit Queen Elizabeth II's final resting place on a Sunday.

During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route.

Apple was the absolute best guide. She gave the most accurate information and helped direct us thru each stop to maximize our time. She also was super fun and pleasant. Our driver Zaw was safe and courteous. Traffic was a pain and he navigated thru it like a champ
Broken Down Bus

The bus broke down on the M3. Another bus came to pick us up and left those people on the side of the road. Never was able to enter Salisbury Cathedral. No refund has been issued at this point.
Tour operator canceled the day before

We booked this trip a few weeks in advance of our trip. Because there are so many must-see things in the area, we planned each day in advance. Late afternoon (4:15 PM) he day before the tour, the tour operator (Golden Tours/Gray Line) called me. I missed the call. I returned the call and the rep who answered was rude and said "he didn't call me" and couldn't tell me why they called. Then I saw a voice mail which said the tour was canceled. By now it is 5 pm. I called back, got the same rep, who then offered a replacement tour with two of the destinations plus one we had already visited and didn't want to do again. The next day was our last full day in London. So I asked for a refund so we could rebook a different tour with a different company. He again was rude and said "they didn't have (my) money" - that I would have to contact Viator. (I get they are a 3rd party booker - but couldn't they initiate the refund for us?) The tour showed then and still shows canceled in my Viator app. This was a week ago, and crickets from Viator. I am home now and requested the refund online - still no acknowledgement. No reason given for the cancelation - but there really is no good reason other than external circumstances - which did not appear to be the case.

Last min the tour group cancelled the tour. We had planned the whole trip around this tour and couldn’t do anything else

All three stops were memorable! Our driver was very helpful at the end of the trip with cab and tube info and our guide Oscar made a great recommendation for food.
