This was a long day trip, but allowed us to see so many regions on the Coromandel peninsula. The Hot Water Beach is a common stop, but not really impressive. Cathedral Cove was more beautiful but did have challenging steep steps near the end and the walk back would have been difficult for some. There was a transport boat on the beach to avoid the return walk but not always available. Our guide was fantastic and overall we were so happy with this trip.

Awesome trip just be prepared to walk. Definitely worth it though! Matt was our tour kind and he couldn’t have been better, he was more than happy to suggest local tourist spots for us to check out during our time in NZ

Mike was a pleasure on the full day tour to Coromandel Peninsula. He was lively, unbeat and very funny! It definitely kept us all engaged and having fun. He did a great job getting us around and ensuing we had all we needed. Never felt rushed with him. I would recommend the tour with Mike. Overall the company led a great tour. Cathedral Cove is beautiful and Hot Water beach was a great spot to try something I've never done (dig our own hot spring).

We had this excursion visiting Cathedral Cove and the hot water beach. Really enjoyed it. Mike,our guide made the day for us and we are two couples from Malta. Beautiful experience especially with the hot water beach. Thks Mike

Great Group and although we had rain for the whole day it was fun because of Wayne, our Guide! Walk to Cathedral Cove is quite long (40-45 Min. One Way) but very scenic! Hot Water Beach is an amazing experience!

Matt was a lovely guide and very knowledgeable. He took us around for the day giving us great recommendations and history of the area. He was helpful and I would highly suggest booking this trip.

This is my second tour with AZ scenic tours and Matt. Again an excellent experience, especially digging your own hot spring pool in the sand! Our tour guide Matt is a highlight of the experience. He volunteered to be my photographer and even helped us with the digging. Highly recommended!

Auckland Scenic Tour is the best. I really wanted to visit Cathedral Cove so I tried really hard to find a tour that doesn't require a minimum number of reservations. I've emailed many travel agencies, but all of them made no exceptions and required reservations for at least 2 people. Only this agency told me they are gonna refund for one place if there are more people joining. So I booked it and It was just amazing experience. Our guide Matt, he was so nice and professional. Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach was so beautiful. I'm willing to book a tour from this agency. Thank you so much for giving me unforgettable memories.

Amazing places to be visited during this tour. The two main attractions are spectacular and David is an extraordinary tour guide. We left Auckland at 7:00 am. The trip is smooth from Auckland to the final destination. The decision on whether to visit hot water beach before or after Cathedral Cove is made according to the low tide which guarantee the possibility to enjoy the hot water experience. In this particular day the weather was fantastic, however there was no low tide at hot water beach. We enjoyed the weather and the beach and then David kindly offered to add an some extra places to visit which were not included in the original schedule. After the magnificent visit to Cathedral cove (30 min approx walking to reach the beach), they took me to Coromandel town with some extraordinary views on the landscape along the way. We arrived back to Auckland around 6:00 pm. This was an amazing experience and the guide, extremely knowledgeable, was also very kind and always caring for safety. Super recommended!
