Join us on this fun filled small group scenic day trip from Auckland to visit the stunning Coromandel Peninsula. Get a chance to see our beautiful ancient native Kauri Forests, stunning white-sand beaches, and much more. Experience the exciting activities and opulent landscapes Coromandel has to offer including a visit to the iconic Cathedral Cove & the world-famous Hot Water Beach, for some natural spa beach.

This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
Moderate level of fitness is required and comfortable shoes with a good grip.
Access to Hot Water Beach is tide dependent.
Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the conditions, walking shoes, sun protection, jacket/warm layer & essential personal items.
Equip with Swimming costume and Towel if you choose to swim.
Bring a camera or a phone with camera capability as this is the perfect place to get some great experiences photos.
We provide shovels so you can dig your own spa.
There are no rubbish and toilet facilities at Cathedral Cove, so please be prepared to bring all your rubbish out with you.
Our scenic walks are short and optional. Please let our guide know at check in if you have any fitness concerns.
The roads in Coromandel Peninsula are very windy, please equip yourself for any motion sickness.
Due to winding roads, this tour is not suitable for families with infants and young children. We suggest you to please book our Coromandel Peninsula Discovery Experience.
Hot Water Beach is best accessed at low tide, but can be enjoyed in all but rough and dangerous conditions.
Allow enough time to do the 45 min walk each way at the cathedral cove and have time to swim and take photos.
This tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility or fitness.
You must be able to climb and descend stairs and walk on unpaved or uneven terrain.

5.00The tour was lovely! Even with an early start, it was a great way to spend a day on vacation. The hot water beach and the cathedral cove were both amazing, just prepare for the treck to the Cove (about 20 minutes on a trail that changes to some steep inclines throughout). The best part was our tour guide/ driver Mary, who was very personable and was lovely to chat with as we travelled to and from Auckland.

5.00This was a great tour. Both beaches were amazing. We loved the nature and the scenery at the Cathedral cove. Karthik gave us all the details about the area and its history. The timing was perfect, so we get the best experience depending on tides.

From the breathtaking views of the Coromandel coast to the once in a life time experience of Hot water beach, every moment of this trip is packed with unforgettable scenery and experiences. Martyn's sincere love for and finessed knowledge of the area as well as attentive care for his passangers were the cherry on top of already unforgettable trip. Well organized truly small group trip.

5.00The Coromandel Peninsula experience trip for the day was one-of-a-kind and something we won’t forget! The attractions selected were a nice variety with the train ride through the mountains was great! The walk to Cathedral Cove was beautiful the whole way and the beach was stunning! Our tour guide, Karthik really made the experience memorable. He was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. The van was very clean and comfortable with plenty of water & snacks. It was a great day trip from Auckland and one we are all glad we did so we could see these attractions and have a great day!
