The Coromandel Day Tour begins with pick-up from Auckland central, followed by a scenic three-hour drive through the Waikato Region and Bay of Plenty. Along the way, we’ll stop at a picturesque location for photos and any additional stops as needed.
Our first destination is the Driving Creek Railway, where you’ll embark on a one-hour train journey featuring spirals, tunnels, viaducts, and reversing points as it climbs to the Eyefull Tower. From the top, enjoy stunning panoramic views over the island-dotted Hauraki Gulf.
Next, we’ll visit the natural thermal mineral pools at Hot Water Beach, where you can relax, swim, or stroll along the shore. Remember to bring your swimwear and a towel! Then, explore the coastal walkway to Cathedral Cove, an iconic spot on the Coromandel Peninsula.
After your memorable day in Coromandel, we’ll head back to Auckland central.
** Note that the tour’s start time may vary based on tide times at Hot Water Beach.

Incredible tour. Knowledgeable guide. The rest stops had really good food, especially the Cafe. Cathedral cove was definitely all it was cracked up to be and the walk there was delightful. The train ride and pottery stop was quirky but enjoyable. Don't forget to bring slip ons for the hot water beach.

Learning and experiencing nature at your pace; Warren was so knowledgeable not only about the tour but about the history of New Zealand. Highlights: Viewing and experiencing majestic Volcanic creations. The tree-line and ocean views were post card worthy and didn't necessarily require a huge hike to get there. Seafood.. More reasons to love New Zealand and Coromandel.
