Naja 🫤… Very young girl as Maiko. It wasn't a real conversation or conversation. Guide was very friendly. Food was delicious. Location was also very traditional.

The experience was the best experience I had in my entire trip. I would definitely repeat. Not only for the astonishing Maiko performance, but also the food and the restaurant were incredibly good and Hikari was an exceptional guide and interpreter, she knew so much about everything and I learned a lot with her. I am so glad and thankful to her for introducing me to the Maiko/Geiko arts

Hand a lovely time. It was a tour of import parts of gion and then we went to a lovely dinner with MANY courses. We talked and had a choice of non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks like wine, sake, plum wine (my choice), tea, beer and more. Finally the lovely Maiko arrived and provided wonderful conversation. The translator was very helpful. She talked with us for a bit. This part is better if the party has fun and interesting questions that are easy to answer and appropriate for a dinner party setting. After we opted for dance first. She performed two traditional dances. Then we played a fun party game that’s easy to learn and fun to play especially after a few glasses of wine. Lastly we had an amazing chance for photos. This even is not wheel chair accessible because the stairs to the private room in the restaurant are very steep and there are many of them. If you are a single cane user you must be able to climb and descend those steep stairs as well. If you are a user of two canes be ware that while the stairs have handles they are not western style because the stair case is so narrow and steep old fashion style. I use a cane for mobility and to reduce pain. I think they did a great job trying to be accommodating in a building that was built before such considerations were commonplace. Despite those limits I thought everyone was thoughtful and kind. I had a great time. If you are a cane user you may be able to attend if you prepare yourself and able to climb stairs independently as they are very steep and very narrow. Overall I thought this was a fun and wonderful event. Everyone had a great time. People who are interested in Japanese history, culture and language as well those interested in fashion, dance, costumes and theater had an especially wonderful time but everyone had a great time. On a personal note even though she didn’t speak English she was clearly very skilled at entertaining with lovely conversation and music as well as keeping the evening light, flowing and fun for all! I would recommend to a friend and do it again next time I’m in Kyoto.

Our tour guide Hikari brought her wonderful positive energy despite the heavy rain. We learned a lot from her and the maiko-san that joined us. At first my friends and I didn’t know if we would have any questions but Hikaru made us feel comfortable to ask our questions about geishas. Did I mention that the dinner was delicious? It was an excellent experience and I highly recommend this tour!

Amazing experience and lots of time with the Gaiko to ask questions and talk to her. The dance performance was really elegant. The food at the restaurant was ok. But we had free flowing drinks.
