5.00Ayumi was great! The tour is perfect for an intro into Japanese culture and Kyoto! We loved how energetic, nice and knowledgeable the guide was. We enjoy the walk from the center to the pagoda, where she went across most of the things we wanted to know, and address all our questions!

5.00We’ve taken more than 40 free walking tours all around the world and Caroline was exceptional and the best guide we’ve ever had. A three hour tour of Gion may seem long but Caroline kept us riveted for the whole tour, with two short breaks to maintain her clients’ energy. I thoroughly recommend this tour to get a good grounding in the history of Kyoto, Japan and Japanese religion.

5.00We went around with Ayumi. That was excellent. It is filled with knowledge and anecdotes about the places it presents. She answered all our questions and even took the time to warn an older couple that the next party was in the hill so they could make the decision to proceed or stop. She is very proficient in her subject and her English is excellent.
Fun way to learn history and get an overview of Gion area.

5.00This 3 hour walking tour was very informative and interesting. We covered a lot of different elements of history including theater, temples and geisha. We walked to major history sites and tourist areas. Our guide, Aiyumi, was very knowledgeable and very fun! She had great recommendations for us too.
