After deepening your knowledge of sake, feel free to stroll around the area and visit the cultural and historical spots, such as liquor stores and Teradaya.

5.00Excellent tour that ended up being private. We visited one of the major sake distilleries in Kyoto and afterwards went to an izakaya to try all kinds of sake. Can really recommend for people that want to learn more about sake making and the drink itself.

5.00Wonderful tour. We learned so much from our guide, Linda, who was also a sake sommelier. That in particular was very special treat, as she has a unique perspective on and deep experience with sake. She was able to answer all of our difficult and nuanced questions about flavor profiles and food pairings. Linda also had some great recommendations for us related to sake and other things in the area and in Hokkaido! We would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a unique experience.

5.00If you’re considering a sake tasting tour, do it — and hopefully you get Rika as your guide! We visited three different locations, sampling an amazing 22 types of sake along the way. Each stop offered the chance to purchase bottles if you found a favorite, which was a nice bonus. The main tasting location also had food options for purchase, which paired perfectly with the different sake styles. Rika was extremely informative, sharing detailed explanations without ever making it feel overwhelming. She was also easy to talk with, answering all our questions and making the experience fun and engaging. This was a perfect blend of learning, tasting, and exploring. Highly recommend!
