Short concise introduction to Maori culture. Sensitively presented. Exposed the impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures.

Was time well spent exploring the Museum. The pieces are well displayed and there's lots of information about the artifacts. The only downer is that some sections were sealed off and we would have loved to have access to all the exhibits. The staff are helpful and kind making the experience enjoyable for everyone.

A huge museum with lots of Māori culture and exhibits . The War Museum is on the upper floors , depending on ur time I suggest you go there first , if that’s your main interest. Unfortunately we reached the War Memorial last and ran out of time before being able to,see the entire exhibition. It is huge and well laid out . Very informative and lots of care given to such a painful time in history of the first and second World Wars. One of the best Museums I have ever seen covering the wars , and the lives of everyday people who fought in many ways to,protect freedom and democracy around the world from fascism and communism . Highly recommend this stunning museum .

Located in a nice place. Despite the fact that the museum also exhibits things that once again show the bad side of man, there is a nice atmosphere. Very informative and exhibited in a clear way. Especially the part about the volcanic activity around New Zealand and the part about the Maori.

The show was ok but didn’t have a wow factor or a presentation like the pictures used in the advert for the experience. Museum component was still worth the visit
